Today is a special day for most Americans out there. BUT it is an extra special day for James and me. We've been married ONE MONTH today, which probably seems like a small thing to most of you out there, but not to me. It's a pretty big deal to me.
This last month has been incredible. I tell James all of the time, everything is too perfect I feel like I am in a dream and one day I'll wake up. When I wake he'll be in Russia and still have 3 months left! haha. Although we all know that is not true... I think about it ALL THE TIME.
James and I have been together a relatively long time. (I will have known him 5 years next week!) We are without a doubt best friends. Writing letters for 2 years and being apart even longer than that creates a special foundation for our marriage.
Going into our marriage I really felt like I knew James. Of course not EVERYTHING, but pretty dang close. I definitely had a good idea of what I was getting myself into. Within days of being married, he surprised me and exceeded my (already VERY high)expectations as a husband.
I couldn't be any happier and I'm so happy we're together forever!
