Claim Jumper

is my favorite resturant. I always get soup and a muffin, which might sound lame to you BUT I love it. Two weekends ago, my dear sweet husband drove down to Heber to pick up our couches. On the way there he stumbled upon this (without the angry girl in the picture. I was mad he wouldn't let me look at the restaurant. I wanted to know the surprise!)
He knows how much I LOVE Claim Jumper, so he said he had a surprise date for me for our 2 months. We drove all the way down to Heber. He even had me close my eyes when we got close. I WAS SOOOOO EXCITED when I was finally able to open my eyes. (Notice the goofy smile)We stepped inside and realized it was a different Claim Jumper, which was EXTREMELY out of our price range (like $30 a plate). So we walked out. Now we were in Heber, starving and didn't know where to go. I had only eaten one other place in Heber, the Dairy Keen (not to be confused with the Dairy Queen). The Dairy Keen is a little kid place with trains traveling their tracks above the customers. Hilarious we went there, but it was definitely an adventure! Yay Happy 2 months to us!

  1. Ya, they have a Claim Jumper in St. George, just like the one in Heber. I was SOOOO disappointed, because like you it is my favorite place to eat back home. Luckily, we're going to CA in 2 weeks, so I think we might go to Claim Jumper back home. If you get the large meal, a dessert and drinks, I think it's like $35 (and a large meal is perfect for 2)!

  3. O ya haha. Lots of people get confused. I worked at Claim Jumper for 2 years so I knew already when I moved here that there was definitely no "Claim Jumper" here... only the fake one

  5. i love claim jumper! I've gone there a few times with Prestons family in cali. Love everything I've ever gotten there, but I really loved the bread soup bowl we got there last time. And of course the giant chocolate cake that we got.

The chairs you did are sooo cute. love them.

  6. That's a cute story!!! Do not hit up kid places unless you absolutely have to. You will spend way too many years going to kid friendly places ha ha! Your craft projects are so cute!
