a.k.a. my wedding dress, was SUPPOSED to be finished with alterations TODAY. It was SUPPOSED to be on an airplane (with my sweetheart) to come to me TOMORROW. Alas, that has not happened. My wedding dress is stuck in Tennessee right now in a flood where no air or ground shipping is being made at this time. In result of this..
- We had to cancel our bridal/groomals with our awesome photographers Paige and Blake Green. Which by the way was going to be awesome! We were going to shot them at the Newport Beach Pier (the first place James and I ever held hands October 2005). Now we might not even get to do them with James being out of state and his ridiculous schedule with soccer and work.
- We had to cancel James's tux rental with a fee because you need to cancel at least 7 days in advance EVEN THOUGH I didn't know 7 days in advance. I only knew 5 days in advance and told them the next day.
- We had to cancel my bridal bouquet with yet another fee for not canceling with enough notice.
- James paid for a flight this weekend SOLELY for those pictures. When he could have flown back with the soccer team for free. (They are playing a game in Orange County TOMORROW if anyone wants to come with me!)
- We might have to pay for ANOTHER flight for James SOLELY for the pictures. If we don't James and I have to choose between him being with me when I receive my endowment and I take bridals by myself OR he's not there for my endowment and we take pictures together. The decision seems obvious, but it's kinda sad still. I really wanted both.

dang! It will all work out! Satan obviously doesn't want you to follow the Lord's plan by getting married so he's just trying to ruin everything else! jerk! but it will all be great and you will be happily married soon enough :)
ReplyDeletejudy marlow. i love you. will you add my new email to your blog list? i cant get into it on my new blog. leannawagstaff@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletelove you
PS. Your dress is gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethat really sucks! But when I got married, my stake president told me that at least one thing will always go wrong for your wedding. So you should plan on something happening and then choose to let it go. So the bright side is, yours has already happend! Now you can enjoy the rest of it! :) For my wedding, my hair and make up person slept through our appointment ON MY WEDDING DAY. And I had to go to the temple without getting anything done and then she met us in between the temple and pictures to do everything. It ended up not being as good as she did it for my bridals because she was hurring so quickly. Sad, but the important thing is, I was married and sealed and I had a great day otherwise!
ReplyDeletewow. I'm sorry about all those cancelation fee's. I'd be ticked. But, I'm sure the pictures you do end up with, will BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you!
annoying. I'm sorry I'd be so pissed. :(
ReplyDeletei'm sorry to hear about all that, and i really hope it all works out for you! and i have to say that your dress is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
